A Ringwood native
Anderson graduated in 1990 from Ringwood High School, where he was a state FFA officer, and then earned an Agricultural Education degree from Oklahoma State. Anderson met his wife, Amy, who is originally from Waynoka, at an FFA event while they were in high school. Amy is a physical therapist who graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma and OU PT school. The Andersons have five children. Abigail attends OCU Law School; Alexa, who graduated from Northern Oklahoma College and plans to attend OU dental hygiene school. Alec is a biosystem and agriculture engineering major at Oklahoma State and a state FFA officer while their two youngest children, Adam and Ayven, attend Ringwood Public Schools.
A Pastor, Rancher and Community Leader
After graduating from OSU, Anderson initially worked for the state Department of Agriculture in market development. He entered fulltime ministry in 1996. Since 2000, Anderson has served as Lead Pastor at Faith Center Fellowship. During Anderson’s leadership, Faith Center has grown to be a multi-campus church with locations in Meno and Cherokee. In addition to their ministry work, the Andersons will always stay connected to their farm and ranching roots. They are daily active with their commercial cattle herd which has serviced multiple generations. As well as raising cattle, their five children have been very active in 4-H and FFA through the livestock show industry.
A Conservative Republican
In the Senate, Anderson says he will support the full spectrum of conservative ideals, from protecting traditional Christian values like the right to life, to supporting our personal freedoms and liberties, like Second Amendment rights.
Anderson is a strong supporter of our local public schools and will bring years of education experience to the Senate having previously served on the Ringwood School Board. Anderson also serves as one of the founders of the Ringwood Community Athletic Foundation.
